Features: Engineered for Inorganic Materials
Gravity-Based Pre-Thickening
5m-long polypropylene gravity belt (width 1-4m) with 0.5mm embossed texture, increasing drainage speed by 30% for particles ≥50μm.
Adjustable slope (5-15°) via electric actuator, letting you optimize for coarse sand (steeper slope, fast drainage) or fine clay (gentle slope, controlled drainage).
Wear-resistant belt: Thickness 2mm, tensile strength 1,500 N/mm, lasting 20% longer than PVC belts in abrasive environments like coal mining.
High Capacity, Low Energy
Processes up to 20 m³/h of sludge (8-15% initial solids) with just 1.5kW of power—enough to run on a single-phase electrical supply.
Produces pre-thickened sludge with 8-12% solids content, reducing the load on downstream dewatering equipment by 40% and extending their lifespan.
Rugged Construction
Heavy-duty rollers (150mm diameter) with tungsten carbide coatings—hardness ≥85 HRC—resist wear from silica, iron ore, and other abrasive particles.
Self-tracking belt system: Infrared sensors detect belt misalignment and adjust rollers automatically, eliminating the need for manual realignment (a common issue in high-solids applications).
Applications: Inorganic Sludge Specialists
Mining Industry: Thickens copper tailings (20% solids input to 8% output), gold cyanidation sludge, and coal fly ash slurry—used in 30+ mines across Chile and Australia.
Metal Processing: Handles electroplating sludge (heavy metals), steel pickling waste (iron oxides), and aluminum dross sludge—critical for meeting EPA disposal standards.
Construction Waste: Processes concrete slurry (calcium-rich), asphalt sludge, and masonry wastewater—ideal for recycling centers turning waste into reusable aggregates.
Why Choose Our Gravity Belt Press?
Material Expertise: The only press optimized for inorganic sludges with <10% organic content—our R&D team has 20+ years of experience in mineral processing.
Energy Savings: Gravity drainage requires no mechanical agitation, cutting energy costs by 30% compared to centrifugal thickeners (eg: a Texas coal plant saved $15,000/year in electricity).
Customizable Design: Choose from 12 belt textures and 3 roller coatings to match your specific sludge characteristics—we provide free lab testing to find the best configuration.
Structure & Working Principle
The design and manufacture of the belt filter press thickener can adapt to the harsh working environment of high temperature and 100% humidity in the concentrator room, and ensure the stable and reliable operation of the euipment.
The belt filter press thickener runs smoothly and normally, no impact, vibration and abnormal sound. All parts are tested and qualified before assembling.
The flocculated material is uniformly sent to the filter belt through the fabric mechanism to carry on the gravity concentration. In this section, there is a long horizontal movement and a small angle rising, and the material moves with the filter belt. Under the action of gravity, free water is separated from the floc and removed most free water in the material.
