MYDN302
BOEEP
MYDN
Designed for wastewater treatment plant operators, engineering project managers and facility managers, the BOEEP multiple disk volute filter press sludge thickener retains all the proven benefits of traditional volute screw press dehydrators—low operating and maintenance costs, reliable dewatering performance, effective odor control, low noise and fully automatic operation.
Handles inlet sludge solid concentration: 2500~20000mg/L
Stable outlet sludge moisture content: 90%-96% adjustable
24/7 continuous operation with minimal labor input
Traditional gravity thickening tanks require extensive civil engineering, large land area and long construction cycles, making them impractical for existing plant upgrades or space-constrained sites. The BOEEP sludge thickener is a fully integrated skid-mounted unit that directly replaces thickening tanks, requiring only 30% of the footprint of conventional systems. This allows for quick installation and commissioning without major site modifications.
Filter cloth clogging and frequent replacement are major pain points for many sludge treatment systems, leading to high downtime and operating costs. Our thickener features a unique self-cleaning structure composed of fixed rings and movable rings. The relative movement between the rings continuously cleans the filtration gaps, eliminating clogging completely. No filter cloth is required, and no high-pressure backwashing is needed, drastically reducing consumable costs and maintenance workload.
Open-air thickening tanks often cause severe odor pollution and uncontrolled phosphorus release, creating compliance issues and poor working conditions. The BOEEP thickener operates in a fully enclosed system, effectively containing and controlling odor emissions. It also prevents sludge from undergoing prolonged anaerobic fermentation, significantly reducing phosphorus release and helping facilities meet strict environmental discharge standards.
Inconsistent sludge concentration from traditional thickeners can severely impact the efficiency and performance of downstream dewatering equipment. Our system uses screw extrusion technology to achieve precise concentration control. The outlet sludge moisture content can be stably adjusted between 90% and 96% to perfectly match the requirements of your specific dewatering process.
The thickener is equipped with an intelligent frequency conversion control cabinet that supports both automatic and manual operation modes. Once set up, it can run continuously 24/7 without full-time supervision. The system automatically triggers operation based on liquid level, adjusts processing speed as needed, and alerts operators to any abnormal conditions, minimizing labor requirements and human error.
All core components are manufactured from high-quality SUS304 stainless steel for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. The main wearing parts—including the screw shaft, active ring and mixer—have a service life of up to 5 years under normal operating conditions. Routine maintenance is extremely simple: only 5 minutes of low-pressure flushing per hour, with a flush water consumption as low as 80L/h for the MYDN302 model.
The BOEEP volute filter press thickener operates on the principle of screw extrusion, generating high pressure through changes in screw pitch and the small gaps between movable and fixed rings to achieve efficient solid-liquid separation.
Sludge is pumped into the flocculation mixing tank by a sludge pump, while a dosing pump feeds prepared polymer solution in precise quantities. The mixer ensures thorough mixing of sludge and polymer, forming large, dense flocs that are easy to separate.
When the liquid level in the mixing tank reaches the preset sensor set point, the screw body automatically starts operating, eliminating the need for manual start-stop control.
As the screw shaft rotates, it conveys the flocculated sludge forward. The gradually decreasing screw pitch creates increasing axial pressure, squeezing water out of the sludge flocs continuously.
The separated filtrate flows out through the tiny gaps between the fixed and movable rings, and is collected in the integrated filtrate receiver for further treatment or discharge.
The concentrated sludge is continuously discharged from the end of the screw body, and is directly conveyed to downstream dewatering or deep dehydration equipment for further processing.
The core concentration body, which performs the actual solid-liquid separation, is composed of three key parts:
Fixed Rings: Stationary filtration elements that form the basic filtration structure of the equipment
Movable Rings: Self-cleaning elements that move relative to fixed rings to prevent gap clogging
Screw Shaft: Runs through the entire concentration body, responsible for conveying sludge and generating extrusion pressure
All components in direct contact with sludge are made of high-quality SUS304 stainless steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliable operation in harsh wastewater environments.
