Our multi-plate screw press dewatering machine consists of multiple fixed annular plates and moveable annular plates stacked alternately, with a screw shaft running through the entire assembly. The machine is divided into two functional sections: the front thickening department and the rear dewatering department.
Sludge is first fed into the thickening department through the inlet. As the screw shaft rotates, the sludge is transported forward while the filtrate flows out through the gaps between the annular plates. The sludge is gradually thickened as water is removed.
The thickened sludge is then transported to the dewatering department. As the sludge advances, the filter spacing and screw pitch gradually decrease, and the back platen creates additional resistance. This generates enormous internal pressure, causing the sludge volume to continuously decrease and more water to be squeezed out. Finally, the fully dewatered sludge cake is discharged from the exit.
The relative movement between the fixed and moveable annular plates during operation continuously cleans the filter gaps, preventing clogging and ensuring stable and continuous dewatering performance.
