BOEEP independently developed vehicle volute extruder sludge dewatering device retains all the advantages, working principles and functions of traditional screw press sludge dehydrators, while featuring an innovative compact structure with ultra-small footprint. Unlike traditional models that place mixing and flocculation tanks at the rear, our design integrates these critical components directly on top of the main unit. This revolutionary layout reduces floor space by 30%×40%, making the entire system easily mountable on standard trucks for seamless on-site sludge disposal and rapid site-to-site transfer.
This all-in-one mobile sludge dewatering solution eliminates the need for permanent site construction and complex installation, providing a flexible, cost-effective alternative to fixed sludge treatment equipment. It is ideal for all projects requiring temporary or emergency sludge management, as well as decentralized wastewater treatment facilities where fixed infrastructure is impractical.
Feature | BOEEP Vehicle Volute Sludge Dewaterer | Traditional Screw Press Dehydrator |
Footprint | Ultra-compact, 30%×40% smaller | Large, requires separate space for tanks |
Mobility | Fully truck-mountable, ready to deploy | Fixed installation, non-portable |
Installation Time | 1×2 days, no civil engineering needed | Weeks, requires foundation construction |
Functionality | Identical to traditional models | Standard screw press performance |
Deployment Flexibility | Suitable for temporary and emergency use | Only for permanent facilities |
Key components of the integrated system include:
Top-mounted mixing tank and flocculation tank
Central screw press main body
Sludge inlet, polymer inlet and filtrate outlet
Automatic flushing system
Sludge cake discharge port
Vent and overflow nozzles
The working principle of our vehicle volute extruder sludge dewatering device is identical to that of proven traditional screw press systems, ensuring reliable and consistent dewatering performance.
The main body consists of multiple fixed annular plates and movable annular plates with a precision-engineered screw shaft running through the center. The unit is divided into two functional zones: the front thickening department and the rear dewatering department. This integrated design allows sludge thickening and dewatering to occur in a single chamber, completely replacing traditional filter cloth and centrifugal filtration methods.
Sludge enters the flocculation tank where it mixes with polymer to form flocs. The flocculated sludge then flows into the thickening zone where free water is separated. As the screw shaft rotates, the sludge is gradually compressed in the dewatering zone, forcing out additional interstitial water. The final dewatered sludge cake is discharged from the end of the unit, while the filtrate is collected and returned to the wastewater treatment process.
Despite the top-mounted configuration of the mixing and flocculation tanks, the flocculation effect and dewatering efficiency remain completely unchanged compared to traditional models.
Low energy consumption → Reduces electricity costs by up to 50% compared to centrifugal dewaterers
Minimal water consumption → Lowers ongoing operational expenses
Minimal polymer consumption → Decreases chemical costs over the system lifespan
No need for pre-thickening → Eliminates the requirement for separate thickening tanks and equipment
Handles all sludge types → Effectively dewaters even oil/grease-rich sludge that challenges conventional systems
Minimal noise operation → Complies with strict environmental noise regulations
24/7 continuous operation → Maximizes productivity for high-volume sludge treatment projects
Minimal maintenance → No filter cloth to replace, reducing downtime and maintenance costs
Ultra-compact footprint → Saves valuable site space and enables truck mounting for mobile use
